LaFontaine Performance Center stands behind the workmanship of the GM products sold. We also guarantee a reasonable return policy for damaged products. Be sure to keep reading.
LaFontaine Performance Center is committed to providing the best customer service possible. We will gladly refund or replace any defective part and most non-defective items within 90 days of receipt of your order. You may return products that:
- Are in the original manufacturer packaging (shipping packaging can be opened)
- Must have original manufacturer information
- Are not used, installed, or disassembled
- The item is not a hazardous material(HAZMAT labeled)
- Do not have missing parts, hardware or instructions
- Are not damaged due to improper installation
- Are in original, unaltered condition (must not have been installed, painted/sanded, or any worked on in any fashion)
Process for ReturnsPlease first contact us at LaFontaine Performance Center to start a return. A representative will review the return and verify that the part qualifies. You must include a copy of the original invoice along with the returned part. LaFontaine Performance Center is not responsible for any cost incurred for returning orders for any reason, unless a LaFontaine Performance representative provides a shipping label. We apologize but we cannot accept returns for HAZMAT items for the reason of liability. HAZMAT items are clearly labeled on parts that are included in this section. You will be alerted that a part is HAZMAT before you place your order.
DAMAGED PRODUCTSIf you receive a damaged product you must notify us within 10 business days, preferably by email with pictures and descriptions. Freight shipments are required to be inspected for damage before signing acceptance of the shipment. In the event that there are multiple products on the same invoice and only one piece damaged, you must have the specific item damaged noted on the bill of lading before signing for the delivery. Failure to follow these procedures may result in the denial of a damage claim.
LABORLaFontaine Performance Center will not refund any labor costs incurred by you or an installer of the parts purchased. Any Parts that are painted are considered “paint to match” and do not come pre-painted to match your vehicle. Any costs involved with painting parts are not included in the sale price. In addition, some electrical parts such as modules, window switches, keys, etc. require programming to function properly, these costs are not included in the cost of the parts. Please feel free to contact one of our representatives if there are any questions or concerns for parts that may fall in these categories.
Once we have received your return, inspected the product, and verified that your return meets the guidelines listed above, a full refund will be issued to the same method of payment that was used for the initial purchase. The cost of shipping will only be included if the return resulted from our error. If we accept a return that does not meet the guidelines listed, there may be a 20% restocking may be applied at the discretion of our returns department. Items that are incorrectly shipped to LaFontaine Performance Center will not be accepted for return. We not accept returns for products that were not purchased from LaFontaine Performance Center. If a return is over 90 days, with the approval of our return department, there will be a 20% restocking fee applied. A restocking fee is necessary to help LaFontaine Performance Center maintain an appropriate inventory level and ensure that high demand parts are available on our shelves.
****Prepaid cards or Gift Carts used for purchases on LaFontaine Performance Center will require a different source of refund and will need to be addressed with our representatives before a refund can be issued.
There will $150 deduction from a refund that is for a refused freight shipment. All other refused shipments will be accepted as a return minus the original shipping and any costs incurred from the refusal.
If you would like to return an item associated with a core return value, please contact one of our representatives. Please note:
- Cores must be returned in the original packaging used for the original shipment.
- All Fluids must be drained from the core.
- The core must be securely wrapped in plastic and sealed.
- All core labels and GM part number labels must remain on box and not be damaged or unreadable.
Your core will be inspected to determine if the core is rebuild-able. Core return shipping charges are the responsibility of the customer and are not refundable.
